Flowers in November

Nov 06, 2022

Well, it is currently 11 degrees outside and I'm thinking about flowers, naturally.  As winter closes in on us up here in the great north we all have our strategies for surviving the long months of cold and dark ahead. For me, denial works pretty well for a few months anyway.  So this week it's flowers.  I grew lots this summer.  Most proudly, I planted beautiful dahlias that graced my house with their stunning foliage all summer long. I tried sunflowers too and begonias, which I found grew well even through the onslaught of torrential rain we received in Anchorage all summer long.  I also created a bird feeding station, which was a joy in itself, but maybe I'll save that for a future blog post.  Anyway, here are some of my favorite shots of this summer's flower bounty.

I hope you are settling into winter too, in your own way, in your own time.

Don't forget to live joyfully!
